University City (U-City) is an inner-ring suburb on the western boundary of St. Louis, Missouri, with a population well over 35,000. U-City is just minutes away from many major attractions in the area, like Forest Park, Lambert St. Louis International Airport, the St. Louis Arch, and its riverfront attractions.
Covering six square miles, we are a diverse and engaged community of hardworking residents and businesses. University City's rich innovative history and its solid foundation of growth make it one of the area's most popular communities to live and work.
The City of University City is pleased to announce its new emergency notification system, CodeRED. CodeRED is a high-speed, Web-based mass notification system that has been in use since 1998. It is used by more than 3,000 state and local government entities across the United States and Canada. The system gives University City the ability to push text notifications and send telephone calls to numerous numbers for the purpose of delivering critical communications.
With CodeRED Weather Warnings, automated warnings launch just moments after a bulletin has been issued by the National Weather Service for severe thunderstorms, flash floods, tornadoes, and winter storms near the community.
