University City completes downed limbed and debris pickup

Following the extensive damage of the July 1 storms, University City staff has completed the cleanup of debris from residential streets.
If there was an area that was overlooked, please call 314.505.8619 and staff will be out to pick it up.

The Parks and Forestry Staff will be continuing their cleanup efforts of the parks while still focusing on daily maintenance tasks. There is still cleanup work needed to be completed at Flynn Park, Mooney Park, Kaufmann Park and Fogerty Park.

In addition, all street sweeping will resume on Mon., Sept. 11.

Thank you to our residents for their patience and cooperation as we worked to clean up University City.

BACKGROUND:
University City did not have a policy in place to pick up storm debris from private property after a storm. The City would only pickup limbs from public trees that fell into roadways or were in the public right of way. In 2019, a policy was adopted that granted the City the ability to pick up any branches, limbs or debris from public or private property as long as they were placed on the curb line.
