Dennis Fuller Appointed as Second Ward Councilmember

On Mar. 13, the City Council voted to approve the appointment of Dennis Fuller as a Councilmember for Ward Two filling the vacancy left by former Councilmember Tim Cusick. 

Fuller is a 46-year resident of University City and an active member of the community. He is a retired professor from St. Louis University Medical School and enjoys volunteering in U City. He has been an active member of U City in Bloom for more than 20 years; a Trustee for the University Park Subdivision for 12 years; and has served as a volunteer for the Memorial Day Run for 30 years. In addition, Fuller is a former small business owner in the Loop and a, “Vietnam era veteran having served in the Army Security Agency.” 

Fuller is eager to start his term. “I would like to have better communications with the constituents of University City and look forward to keeping my neighbors appraised of what is going on,” said Fuller.  

Fuller’s term will end in April 2024 at the next municipal general election. He was officially sworn into office by City Clerk LaRette Reese on Mon., Mar. 20.
