The City of University City is seeking a developer to transform a multi-parcel site at the interchange of Olive Boulevard and Interstate I-170. As part of a broad initiative to revitalize the corridor, University City is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for this highly visible and well-traveled interchange.
The redevelopment area is in the northwestern part of University City, has excellent transportation access and is centrally located near the St. Louis International Airport, Washington University – St. Louis, the Delmar Loop, and the City of Clayton. It includes approximately 31 acres under private ownership and would be ideal for retail and/or office, hospitality and residential development. The City is seeking a developer who can create a catalyst commercial development that also includes benefits to the adjacent residential areas.
The City has significantly invested in the corridor, through streetscape improvements, façade improvements, and planning efforts. The table has been set for the right developer. The City will consider requests for public assistance -- for the right development that supports articulated community vision, preferred uses and objectives. Responses are due by May 1, 2017.
