UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. – Tonight, the University City City Council voted unanimously to approve a development plan for Dierbergs to serve as an anchor tenant at the new Market at Olive development.
“The Market at Olive development is reshaping the third ward of University City. Bringing Dierbergs into this part of our community provides yet another valuable resource to the neighborhoods surrounding it and more activity to University City. We are excited about the future of this development and University City,” said Mayor Terry Crow.
The Market at Olive development is located on the western edge of University City at the intersection of Olive Boulevard and I-170. The entire development consists of approximately 50-acres along both the south and north sides of Olive Boulevard, bordered by I-170 on the west and McKnight/Woodson Road on the east. The estimated $211-million Market at Olive development is designed to accommodate a potential mix of retail, restaurants, apartments, offices and hospitality. Costco is currently the only realtor open at the site.
In addition to Dierbergs, the Market at Olive will also be home to Chase Bank, Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane's, Chipotle, First Watch and St. Louis Bread Co.
More information will be shared about the Market at Olive development as it becomes available.
