PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR FLOOD RISK MAPS University City is working with FEMA/SEMA to reevaluate and update the flood risk maps for the City. Public comments are now being accepted and it is in your best interest to review the proposed Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA’s) to help us accurately represent our community’s risk. Please see the attached instructions for adding comments. Comments will be accepted until October 30, 2017. The City is looking for comments that include information such as flooding locations of certain events, drainage structures that were missed, areas that flood that do not show up on the map and any other comments you wish to leave. If you have questions, please contact Chris Kalter Project Manager with the City’s Public Works and Parks Department. firstname.lastname@example.org or 314-505-8548
