Land Clearance For Redevelopment Authority

The Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority takes its authority from, and is governed by, Missouri State Statutes. The Authority may, with City Council approval, prepare, recommend, and carry out redevelopment and/or urban renewal plans in blighted or unsanitary areas or where development or redevelopment is needed.

There are five commissioners, all of whom must be taxpayers who have resided in the City for five years. Members are appointed by the Mayor to four year terms. The Authority meets when there is business.
